Hello ladies & germs I'm new to Vue4, and I need to know if there are any good tutorials on making a nice realistic looking, caribean or south pacific type tropical beach.

Ask me a question, and I'll give you an answer.

In the terrain editor, draw lines that are parallel to your beach. Use the top perspective and a soft brush with the flow set fairly low. Then clip the terrain a little to get rid of the flat spots. Then set your "wave terrain" on a water plane. It just takes a lot of messing around to get good results. Here is an old pic that i made quite some time ago.

Have a look at these links... Perhaps you can copy some of the methods used in them??? First one - A very simple and old pic I've done... Only used palmtrees and rural maples :) http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=234169 The second is is created bu Tobias aka IceRain. It's one of the most brilliant tropical beaches ever created in Vue! It's just fantastic! http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=407739 I hope this will help you a little bit :) - Thomas
