hmmmm very strange... its doing some weird stuff. I tried the other mesh files i had made earlier and got similar effect with several parts missing and off to the side really big. I will try rebuilding the mesh until it works

Ah...this happens from time to time with .3ds's and Bryce. I'll try bringing it into another program, see if it still does that. AS

Yeah...loads into other apps just fine. This is just a bug (pardon the pun) with Bryce and some, not all, .3ds's. I don't know what it is about certain .3ds's that does this. Doesn't happen often. Uhm...anyway you can package this up as a .dxf? Or would that affect the mesh? AS

Loaded it (just fine) into my Truespace (3.1) and then exported it out of there as a .cob, it imported into Bryce perfectly. (slowly, but perfectly. it would probably go faster in another format) And wow...500 parts? It took like 7 minutes to smooth all those objects out, lol. Thanks Paul, great models! AS

Thanx a lot! I love bugs! :)

paul_carduner posted Sun, 01 June 2003 at 10:10 AM

hmmmm... DXF would work... if you wanted to download an 84 mb file :)... but thanks to the power of 7-zip... thats only 3mb! Now the DXF version is on my site -:[Enjoy]:-

You can never have too many bugs...........unless they are eylash bugs, those I could do without. YUCK! Thanks for the models Paul I think I'll try making something really creepy with them. 8) Catlin

Yeah...found out about the .dxf after I tried doing it my self (81Mb), but...it loaded WAY faster than a .cob version. Thanks again. AS
