The Magazine Staff should be contacting you on your entries soon. If you don't have a subscription to Renderosity Magazine, please let them know so they can get a copy of issue #7 sent to you.
Honorable Mentions - because we have 2 people being published in Issue #7, the staff picked 4 people to receive Honorable Mentions and be immortalized in the Library. (If you prefer a different name show up in the library other than your member name for your story by-lines, please let me know.) > angellro - Lucky Draw
jstro - Auger of Carthage
SAMS3D - Hope
pakled - Dream
I know a few of you asked if you could post your original, longer works here, and except for mysteri and SndCastie, the answer is Yes. Since mysteri and SndCastie are being published and Renderosity Magazine holds first publishing rights, we can't show a longer derivation of their work until 90 days past the publishing date. (It's in the contest rules.)
And, of course, those of you who did not place, you're more than welcome to publish your stories in the forum. The stories are definitely worth reading.
Thank you to everyone who entered! The Magazine Staff had a hard time making their decisions.

Yipee, hooray! Very exciting. Can't wait to get mine. Congrats to the rest. Thanks to the regulars around here for giving feedback, helping to toss around ideas, and generally making this a great place to hang out. The story I submitted actually had its birth about 10 years ago. I never wrote it down, but I've had the basic plot structure just waiting for a chance to come out. At about that time, rejection slips from other magazines killed my desire to actually submit anything else. But when I saw the cover image, I knew that it was my story. It was a good exercise to actually get it down "on paper" and then shave it down to 1500 words, but exceedingly worth it. I'm psyched! Joe

Joe It really brought a smile to my lips and , at the risk of sounding trite, a glow to my heart to see your reaction to winning the contest. Perhaps there really is something called destiny, and this will inspire you to dust off those old stories resubmit them. I can envision your jubilation, and your enthusiasm is infectious. Congratulations once again. jon

jstro- I must admit, it does help restore a bit of the enthusiasm and get me thinking that maybe getting some pieces published is a possibility. Let me also publicly thank you for the feedback on my submission for the earlier version of this contest. Though you may have noticed I never actually got a revised version of "Symmetry" completed and posted (I know, I know, procrastination will kill you...), I really did appreciate the thoughtful feedback. It helped pull me in to this forum. Since the new filter on the server at work has blocked Renderosity, I may not be checking in quite as often. But I'm still around! Send me an email y'all if I'm missing some of the good stuff! Joe
