I posted a message about how to convert regular .jpg texture map info into a bump map for use in Poser5. Above you see where I am at so far. I am still new with Poser5 but I have been scultping in clay traditionally for over 15 years and worked in prosthetic effect for 10 so aside from the technical learning curve, there is a definate vision still being worked on. This head has 4 texture maps. Dif = its pretty bland, very-fair skinned, almost a cool-tan. No shading at all except for on the eyelids and around the nostrils. translu = The blotchyness is my translucents map. Which is all bruises and shading (ill be adding veins next)... near the red/blue end. It also has a nice yellow/sienna wash. Spec = Same as my translu texture map except no blotchyness. It's more about bring out some detail on the directly lit parts so its very contrasty. bump = my bump, the reason why i posted the initial thread :) If anyone has some advice or ideas or wants to compare notes or anything...? ~slurp!
