Wait a minute... according to the voting results you can access from the contest page, the one displayed on the main page was NOT the winner. How exactly do these things work?

From the contest: "Entries will be voted by the community during 5/24 - 5/30. The top 25 entries with the most votes will be selected. Admin team will be the final judges and will vote 5/31 - 6/04. Admin members and Bondware staff cannot participate in the contest."

Community voted for their favorites and admin took the top 25 and voted. Below is taken from the contest information.

Sad. As cool as the winner looks, I preferred the one that got the most votes... :/

Typical. Ever wonder why people get so cynical around here?

Cookienose posted Wed, 04 June 2003 at 2:27 PM

Why even bother getting the community's votes?

Please remember that the contest ran just as it was stated in the rules. We took the top 25 on the list. Also, we had to deal with some clone voting. Yup, some members still feel the need to try and cheat other members out of place.

"Also, we had to deal with some clone voting." That's pretty sad, but funny as well, that people really do this. It makes me cringe to think about it :) Reminds me that earlier this week - on another art site - I was waiting for one of my pics to get just one more decent vote for it to get into the top 100. I mentioned it to a mate and he said "No probs, I'll register on the site and give it a 5". I said "You won't, 'cos if you do, I'll delete the image!" I think he thought I was crazy, but I'd rather come last than cheat.

Yeah, Is realy sad that some people will cheat like that, I don't think they know that they are only cheating themself. Clone voting = the fastest way to loose self respect...
