How does one simulate fluorescent lighting, like one would find in an office for example?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated Thanks

Personally I would use a light blue or violet colour for the lights, say red=221 green=221 blue=255. Flouressent lighting in an modern office is evenly distributed, so I would use infinate lights, one or more with intensity=100 from above, others with less intensity coming from the sides and underneith to simulate reflected light off the walls and floor. You may or may not have to turn off shadows for some of your walls to let the light through, depending on your architechure. If you use props for the light fittings you can use a lite Ambient colour on the tubes to make them look like they are shineing. Shadows will be soft so turn the shadow strength down a bit, say 0.400 or so.
