...permanently?
ladynimue posted Sat, 07 June 2003 at 3:17 PM
Are you asking if an Admin can delete your account? Or Are you asking if someone could come along and hack into your account thus permanently removing your information? For the first question: the answer would be to contact an admin to have them remove ALL information [and All files associated] from your account! This is however - a one-way road and once your files have been deleted they cannot be recovered (which would mean your Market Place purchase Files would no longer be available). If you feel that someone has Hacked into your account - Again, please contact an Admin As Soon As Possible! ladynimue

Kurt, don't make me hurt you.

Thanks, Ladynimue and hi, 'Pooka! I didn't phrase that question very well :( I don't want to leave Rendo yet: I like it here! I was just wondering what you would do if you /did/ want to change account name or actually closeout. Just a random idle question, really.

That is great news Kurt - cause I would be very upset if you decided to leave - As I am a huge fan of your artwork :) As in most cases dealing with your account [either wishing to delete or to change it in anyway] this is best suited for the Admins. Drop them an email at: admin@renderosity.com In your email Header post a brief description of your query. Example: Need help with my account Also, please be as specific as possible within the body of your email as to what you are requesting. Hope this helps and glad you are not leaving us :) ladynimue

mine is THE most boring name and I'd love to be able to change it at some later date when I can think of something better...but I don't want to lose my gallery, post views or comments by creating a new membership surely this wouldn't be hard to do? and btw I've created a membership homepage but still don't appear in the membership list link thingy...at least I can't find my name.

in order to show up in the artist genre, you have to select a genre within the homepage area. if you are talking about the membership listing, then we will need to look into this because you should be listed. changing usernames is difficult at this time and will require some programming effort. we have plans to work on this in the future. thanks tammy
