I tried updating Poser 4 to the new version 4.2, but I get a message about not finding a file, the update stops and then I can't export any figures. Anybody out there that can tell me what's wrong?

You need to get the manual update; the automatic one crashes like this for about 75% of the people who use it. The manual install version should still be up at Ghost Effects

Sounds like you're using the auto installer that several people have had similar problems with... go to http://host-1.ghosteffects.com/poser/patch/patch.html & get the manual install patch.
