Hello, I would like to buy a 3D program to make clothes for use in Poser4. What is the best program to use? It needs to be easy and cost effective. I am new to all this and have lots to learn but I don't want to spend all my time learning, I want to spend my time creating! Thank you all for your advice! Oh, I tried Amapi but it is so ccomplicated, I don't care for it. FL

Hi, You should give us an idea of your price range. You can try Wings (www.wings3d.com) or anim8or to start with since they are free. -Mark

Unfortunately, there is a bit of a learning curve with 3d modeling. You will need to learn how to use whatever modeling program you choose before you can jump in and start making clothes. There really is no "easy" way to do it, especially if you know absolutely nothing about 3d modeling. You will need to learn that first, and then learn the techniques of Poser clothes making.

i would expect Maya is a good point 2 start ;] take a older version. It looks complicated first, but it leaves u room for new possebilities even after years!

Thank you all for your replies. I guess I am aiming for under $300. It's just for my enjoyment and any more than that cannot be justified by me. I know I will need to do some learning but I don't want something so complicated I will lose interest in it. I will look into Maya. Thanks again FL

Cinema4D is probably the best app close to your price range ($570). You may also want to look at Rhino (tons of tutorials at poserpros.com). Good luck. -Mark
