I have installed SR-3 and I realized that there are no more cr2 files but crz's. So obviously I can't open in notepad. Cr2 editor doesn't work either. Does anybody know a work around in editing crz files?

There is a python script to uncompress crz files. In the file menu choose "run python script", browse to "runtimepythonposerscriptsutility" and choose uncompressPoserFiles.py. And you may want to disable file compression under the "general preferences".

Hogwarden made a text editor that reads compressed files. Called z-pad or something. I don't have it (yet) though. Haven't tried the uncompress script in P5 but in Propack, although it works very well, it's a PITA to use. You have to type in the full path yourself and the field doesn't even accept a paste of a path from the clipboard. Very lame. Is the one in P5 any better?

I read some where you can just expand them with winzip, or stuff-it on the mac.

Anything that can handel gzip files can open crz's. And you could always disable file compression to get cr2's. Look under Edit>General Preferences.

Yes unzipping and disabling compression is possible. BUT compression saves a LOT of space. I've started compressing selected folders in my propack installation.

Better still, you could check out Zpad 1 in my store. It's a text editor which opens and saves compressed poser content files. It carries an arsenal of useful tools to get you around the file in breakneck speed, too. Howard:)
