Hello
I've always wanted to create my own characters in Animation Master; and now Wings, import them into poser, then add bones, etc to make them move.
My problem is that I don't know where to start. There seems to be all manner of tutorials, utilities, etc., for our fellow pc users, but I can't find anything for the mac community.
Again, I want to create 3D characters, then bring them into poser, and create the same kinds of movement found in all poser models.
Can someone point me in the right direction... something easy to follow when using a macintosh computer.
Edward

I'm on a mac, too. But since I'm not into modelling I'm no help, but you might post your question into the Mac forum as well. :)

Hi Edward; Poser4 PC is so close to being the same as the Mac that any tutorials for the PC should work on the Mac. Poser's Setup room in the ProPack works pretty well for boneing models and there's tutorials for that at DAZ under Poser Arcana. The link above is to a real simple boneing tut on my site that was done on the Mac. Best; DanLaurieA posted Wed, 11 June 2003 at 9:28 AM

The problem with Animation Master would be the export file types. I don't believe that you can export .obj files (the program uses its own spline & patch way of building 3d models, IIRC). Poser prefers obj but can import 3ds and dxf files. Once you get the moddel into Poser, you need ProPack or P5 for the Setup Room. That is where you apply bones. There are programmers who can do this all mathematically by opening the .cr2 in a text editor and sticking in the right lines of code. Those of us who need to see what we are doing find it easier to bring in the bones from something similar and then adjust them. Carolly
