Blender 3d is a free 3d software package and when I say free I don't mean pirated. I was recently introduce to it and I love it. I would like to see a gallery for blenders and some tutorials if possible. Does anyone else agree??

i agree! Blender simply rocks. And how bout Gimp? Gimp is yet another open source alternative to Adobe's line of photo editors. I asked this same question to myself several months ago but figured that renderosity wouldn't support it since its free or not profitable or something. i hope im wrong though.

Where can you find Blender at? And is it as good as some of the others out there like photoshop etc...?

I hope that is not the reason Blender is not on this site Paul, because I would hate to be a part of a site that does not support a free resource such as Blender or Gimp. Aggelos, if you want to download the most recent version of Blender here is a link: http://www.blender3d.org Have fun and good luck. Let me know if you have any questions.

blender still has a few kinks to work out but it is really very powerful. it is basically the open source alternative to Maya and has some very advanced animation tools. at the blender site there are a series of short films made in blender that will give you an idea Gimp is the open source alternative to photoshop. it has many of the same functions. It even has animated brushes so one can get some truer drawing effects. the website for gimp is www.gimp.org
