Hey, thanx for the sneak peak, it is looking good. I voted for the cute Lizard, but this one was my second or third choice. Gonna be a nice change :)

Honestly, I don't like it. I prefer the black background. The fact that I can't change it bothers me. I never changed the settings from default because I prefered the dark settings. I feel it makes my images look better on the page. My personal web site has a black background for the same reason. I like the new logo, I can deal with the dropdown menus (though I do not prefer them), I may even tolerate the bland menu background, but the grey main background is hard on the eyes. I feel it destracts from the art on the site and I basically just don't care for it. The fact that now I am forced to view the site with this scheme truely is upsetting. I would much prefer to have the option to set my own colors back to the black background with white text. Maybe its because I was weaned on DOS. Magick Michael AKA zhounder

Hi Michael...I will relate this to them, I'm sure you won't be the only one disappointed. You may want to make your feelings known in the thread that I linked to as well!

hmm... I can understand the motivation for not wanting user settable colors; must be real strange trying to build a nice looking site when cannot predict what the users will set the colors to. The example layout they are showing does strike me as rather ugly, but it is difficult to tell from one sample. [The logos do look pretty nice.] I suspect there will be a rush to recalibrate everyone's monitors when we start displaying the Gallery against that light gray... Guess I'll just wait and see. The default colors in the past were pretty tasteful, so there is hope. They should have hired Star for the design; I think our Resource Center looks classy. And the photos show up nicely against the background she uses. [And those ladies from the Phillipines are REAL cute...]

I'm with Michael, I don't like too. The black background is perfect especially for our Photo Gallery. Always think that black makes our photos look much brighter. Hmmm... and what about those white frames some of the photographers are using? They really wouldn't work against a grey background. The option to set the own colours back to the black background would help! I'm really curious how many would do so.

Ok I guess I am a little late in this post, But I hope they atleast give you the option to view the gallery in a black background, It tends to make everything brigter in an image. Imagine looking at a close up of an egg shell, It would stand out. but viewing it on a white background will just make it disappear. Here we go again, Back to adobe calibration. gamma/contrast.... :O(
