I'm doing a scene with multiple figures (3 or 4 Mike2s wearing robes) and to save on file size, I set Mike up the way I wanted him and exported him as an OBJ. Then I reimported it successfully, but all the transmaps were missing :( Since it's just a simple object now, I can't hand-apply the transmaps, either. Is there a way to do this with transmaps intact? Or maybe a way to do it so that I can re-apply those pesky transmaps afterward???

All the material groups should still be there, allowing you to apply the transmaps manually. Which export settings did you use?

I used the default ones--should I have checked additional ones? (can't remember what they were, but I can reopen Poser and check, if need be)

Tried the export again, this time with everything except the 'Morph target' one checked and it worked--I can re-apply the trans maps in Render Materials now. Thank you, LD :)

No need; I checked for you. The default export settings are fine. You should be able to select the imported .obj, call up the Surface Materials panel (CTRL-U), and adjust all the materials. Make certain you adjust the Transparency Min and Max values when you reapply the transmaps; that's easy to overlook. When you have everything the way you want it, you can save the .obj to the Prop Library, and it'll retain all its material settings the next time you load it.
