AS A TEXTURE???!?!?! THAT'S PLAYING!? man, hate to see what you come up with when you apply yourself :P That for Mike 2? would be a really neat alien texture I like it a lot.

I have been painfully trying (with my utterly rudimentary Photoshop skills) to make a Gigeresque texture for ages now...So now I can stop, right? You are going to make this available, aren't you???

I am glad you enjoy this. :) (yes it is for Mike) Unfortunatly I dont think I can put it in the marketplace, because some pieces are cut from actual Giger pieces, so there would probably be some copyright issues. I may have to.....ummm...perhaps...maybe....put it in the free stuff :) So far this thing is only the front face, there is no back to the head...and definatly no body yet....so it may be some time coming before it can actually go out (unless I get a few more slow days at work smirk) queri "The Bone is on Steph" I am sure there is a witty comment to be made with that line....but I think I will leave that one alone ;) (though I am glad you like my products....I have alot of fun making them) Rawnrr

LOL!! Actually I can lay out the basics for a face texture in about half an hour (and this one is at a very basic stage...that is why it is set in the dark like that LOL)....it is just after that where the perfectionist in me takes over to work out the rest of the details (which can take quite a while) ;) Rawnrr

Ok that did not make any sence, How about showing us the textures you uswed to make your map and a tutoriel showing how you went about it.
RawArt posted Wed, 18 June 2003 at 7:54 AM
haha...a tutorial would assume that I have a specific and repeated pattern I use when making my textures.....but unfortunatly I have no set routine. When i begin a project, I just turn off my logic and start putting pieces together until they come to some form which I like. Its all left brain stuff when I do things like this. :) Rawnrr

Try putting more grey scale in your texture less coor saturation, take the color down to about 10 percent saturation, Gigers paintoings are almost balck and white, with just a tiny hint of blue green that should give you a more Giger look.

You might also want to use a alpha channel to get transparent skin effects like in the top image of the vicky texture im working on.

Hmm I bet a morph target added to the skull in free stuff with a texture to amtch would make this dune skull into a neat model.
RawArt posted Fri, 20 June 2003 at 10:55 AM
aye...it would :) (btw.....I think I may re-do this entire piece I started. I didnt like the idea of cutting and pasting actual Giger stuff, and may just do it all from scratch. I think I need a long project like that :)
