  1. Poser 5 file formats have been "augmented" since Poser 4. 2. Poser 5 can use a library folder with nested folders while Poser 4 (PP) cannot. 3. RSRs may be causing the grey guy to appear. Being a Mac thing, I don't know exactly how this effects Poser showing thumbs in the Library properly. You're not going mental, but you may have to make "adjustments" for the differences. It is a rare thing indeed to see forward compatability (such as older software working with newer software files). BYS

Poser 4 can't read the *.png format. It needs *.rsr for the thumbnails. So it shows the shrugging grey guy for all files which have only a *.png image as a thumb.

That's right, BekaVal. Forgot about that. In Poser 5, they dropped the dependence on .rsr files for the thumbs, but Poser 4 still requires them. So consider that as well as the nesting folders. BYS

so how can i change the png 4 a rsr??is there a way??

But Poser 4 PRO PACK also uses png's. So that shouldn't be the problen... Anyway, to convert png's to rsr's you'll need Yarps P3DOExplorer. I think it's here in Free Stuff.

Correct, ernyoka1, but I think that the .rsrs take precedence over the .pngs. If you have both, you still have to fix the rsrs. BYS

No they don't. I've made both png's and rsr's for my stuff, and on my Pro pack it uses the png's. I can tell the difference coz I made special png's :o)
