Hi I have poser 5sr1 and I just starting getting some real strange problems in poser. Most times I start poser the blue title bar on the top of all windows go transparent. Select boxes in windows and on web pages dont work Winzip crashes on start. Sometimes the start menu does not work for files just folders. Poser itself work but except from select boxes, and often the text under the images in the character/pose/props library disappear. Then I exit poser sometimes the problems go away, but sometimes it just get worse, WebPages will not show text, Outlook will not show mail and a lot of programs will not start. Has anybody else had these problems? I run windows 2000 sp3 and poser worked until two weeks ago then I updated my Nvidea detonator drivers from 41.09 to 44.03 and that might be the reason? I have a genforce 2mx400 graphic card, and it didnt work on a game who I also installed the same time. Does poser uses something of the screen card except ordinary windows use? Has anybody else had any problems with detonator drivers and poser? Else Im very happy with poser 5 I had more technical problems with poser 4. Magne Moe

Well if you were in WinXP I'd say turn off the fancy menu systems. It could very well be your NVidia driver update. Did you completely uninstall any NVidia drivers before updating? Also make sure NVidia didn't install some color management or other software that could be messing with your system. Also try defragging your hard drive. Could be a bad sector. P5 latest patch is very stable for me. I run XP and 2K on two machines both of which have TI4200 cards.

I have a geforce 2 card and the last time I updated the driver(its been awhile) I remember an option to set the opacity of the windows. Maybe its on by default and that was what caused the problems. I know I played around with it and didnt like it so I turned it off.
