Hello, My name is Mike... I believe this bein' the first time I've been to the forums... Well enough of me and now more of my question... I'm trying to do the whole Poser & Bryce thing. I've tried exporting the Poser character into Bryce... however it doesn't keep it's color... I've noticed that you can do it vice versa; render a scene in Bryce, then use use it as a background in Poser(with much better looking people I might add). My question is, is there a way to export the Poser figure into bryce and have it keep it's color? Peace, Mike P.s. Yes, I've posted this question in the Bryce forum too.

Search Free Stuuf for an utility called Grouper. It makes it way easier to export Poser to Bryce. With their colours :o)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.

Go to Castiron Flamingo's page (link). There you will find the Grouper tool and tutorials how to use it.jas1746 posted Fri, 20 June 2003 at 4:26 PM

I didn't read down far enough. It appears that there will be an update for Vue 4 here soon that will allow Poser 5 to work with Vue 4. JAS

The best way I've found to import Poser figures into Bryce is to do the following: 1. Export the figure as OBJ (be sure to use names) 2. Run the OBJ through Grouper, a freeware program available here: http://ww.castironflamingo.com 3. Import the object into Bryce 4. Youll have to tweak the textures in the material editor, but Grouper makes this much less of a pain than it would have been otherwise. Good luck.

Poser figures can be brought into Bryce. There are some tuts at this site on the bottom left of the page. Here's a bryce render.Red_Baron posted Fri, 20 June 2003 at 11:41 PM
make sure you turn off gamma correction. that will eliminate that washed out look that bryce is known for.

Thank you everyone :), this helps out a lot :D... I do have 1 or two more questions... The first one might sound kind of dumb, but here it goes: Do clothes come last when posing? If not is there a way to make the clothes "stick" to the person... I'm kind of new to poser and dazed. My second non-combo question is : Is there is a tutorial that could give me a better understanding of Poser so that I don't have to bother you fine people with my newbie questions. Thanks again, Mike

Super render! Yes, Vue's pz3 import is the bee's knee's! I love it for that! But I've found that if you want to change materials on anything (most people don't, so no problem) I find it easier in Bryce especially if I've used Grouper.
