Is there a way to make one or both hands lock to a prop that is in the hands like a sword or staff, so that when you move the PROP the hands will move with it? Kind of like IK?

It can be done, but I don't remember the procedure. I will look in my files to see if I still have something saved. I will play around in Poser to see if I can remember the trick.

OK, I figured it out. Set your figure and your prop how you want them posed. Set IK on for both arms. Select a hand, and go to menu/object/change parent and select your prop. Do the same with the other hand. When you move your prop, the hands and arms will follow. You must use caution, as it is easy to get major deformities in your figure if you move the prop too far.

i think you have to set the prop to the figure or body part .. i dont think you can set the body parts to the prop.. i think you can however use a prop as a parent for the whole body ... good question...food for thought... i could be wrong...i have been wrong before...
Y'all have a great day.

Try it, JAFO, you'll like it. Turning IK on for the arms makes it possible to parent them to a prop.
