I just tried an animated gif but it did'n work, maby try a reflection and bump map and see if that can give you the effect your after Jeff

Yeah, I think the only way you can do this is to fake it with a reflection map and a moving light source to shift the reflections around. I'm not even sure that would work, but I think it's about the closest you can get without doing separate animations for each part, using different textures, and then compositing the whole thing in a video editing program

If you have a program like after effects (or avid) it can be done. You need to make the limbs Blue and then blue screen them out in after effects, and put some fire in the layer behind it. (I create a full screen of fire for this and then use it as the back layer). If you have any program that can key out (remove) a specific color this can be done. Aharon

You can't do it in Poser because it doesn't support AVI or animations as textures. In 3Ds Max all I'd have to do is use an AVI file.

Poser doesn't even allow morphing textures. :(
