I just bought a second hand copy of Bryce and wish to transfer the license. I can't find anything on Corels site, does anyone know how I go about this? Do I or rather the previous owner just email Corel Customer services? Thanks - Baz

The licence blurb (Bryce 5) suggests that all you have to do to effectively transfer the licence is: 1) have the previous owner agree to give up his/her rights to the program and destroy any copies they still have 2) have the new owner read the licence and agree to abide by its terms. I suspect Corel wouldn't be too interested, but you could mail them and ask for confirmation that that is all that's needed. If you want support this may be more of a problem, as the free support is limited anyway (I think you get about half a dozen calls maximum), and you may find that have to pay for this service.

BazC, you may want to contact Corel, especially in light of their sale to Vector. In the event that Bryce is sold off to another outfit, the most current customer database will go with that sale. Getting matters straight with Corel now and getting your name on their owner list could save you heartburn latter on down the road, should Bryce wind up being sold off. skydiver

One thing I ran across as an industry method is a LOD (letter of destrution) written by the previous owner and signed which states that the software was uninstalled from the computer and transferred to the new owner. You can make one up. Do a google search for "letter of destruction" and you'll see some great examples. Here's one.
