Hello; I've downloaded MTmirror: http://www.eurus.dti.ne.jp/~masasi/PROGRAM/MTmirror.html I export a head of say the P4 Nude Female... Export as Morph target (no World transformations) Bring into Carrarra as vertex object with the 'Vertex Primative-Single Polymesh (needed for Morph Targets) option'. Make my changes and save out a morph target. I test this target in Poser and it works. I take my premophed head obj file and load it into MT Mirror as the base. I take my morph target obj file as the 'Open MT'. I get this error: ERR: v line out of range (0) Any ideas?

I just downloaded it but I'm a little confused as to what it's supposed to do.

I Know it only works with BodyParts that are "Symmetricaly Identical". And also someone else mentioned that it works Great with vicky... Arcady, If you have Bugs or Errors like that one, you should drop Masa a line about it! He'll be very happy to help you out! Any programmer needs feedback to improve on it's apps... Make sure that you use "Perfect & Simple" English when Communicating with Masa. (Unless you speak Japeneese!). Marc

I didn't drop him a line because the site for the app specificly stated people were on their own with any problems they had. The item I was trying was the Poser4 nude female's head as the base. And Vicky's head as the base. In both cases all I did for a morph was grab the right ear and yank it out away from the head. The app needs a symmetrical base which it uses to make your morph symmetrical across the two sides.

This advice helped me to get it to work: "I may have a work around for you I was getting this error when I tried loading my morph targets "ERR: Obj file v line err!" It seems that the program doesn't like OBJ files created by some modelers (3dsmax in my case). What I did was applied the morphs to the base character inside of Poser set it to 1.00 and then re-exported as OBJ with only the "As Morph Target" option selected. MTmirror seems to like these files just fine, and the resulting morph was what would be expected. " ---Nate on PFO. Though I must state that I have no intention of using that above morph. That was a 'let's make sure this thing is darned obvious.' :) I only did the morph to one side of her head. This program copied it to the other for me. This poor critter started out as Victoria.

Indeed! That's makes sense about Max. Have had a few other probs 'Handshaking' between Poser & Max... And Arcady, i went on the site & noticed for the first time that notice... But! I'm Hardheaded! So when i see a "Do not Enter" sign, i go in anyway... :-) Marc

arcady, Thank you for test MTmirror(Ver1.1.0). I posted MTmirror(Ver1.1.1). http://www.eurus.dti.ne.jp/~masasi/PROGRAM/MTmirror.html I think This version can use directly "MT created by Carrara". I have not 3DS MAX. I do not know MTmirror(Ver1.1.1) can use "MT created by 3DS MAX", or not. If the problem not solve,Please send me the OBJ(3ds MAX) I will try it. My English is so poor. MASA

heyas; i couldn't get it to open any objs! i consistantly got the following errors: v line data invalid: on anything saved from uvmapper. obj not symmetry: on any poser figure obj; and a custom (and VERY symmetrical) figure saved from compose v line out of range: on a 'simple' obj mesh, but one with a lot of poly's. (robin's lap harp.) masa: i will try version 1.1.1. thank you!

oops... that was quick; i still get the same errors. :/ the sample objs that came with it, they open. did you do something special to them? maybe i need to run mine through morph squeeze?

bloodsong, Thank you for test MTmirror. MTmirror's BASE MT must be perfect symmetorical. For example, most of P4 Fem's MT is not symmetrical. Please send me OBJ sample and your action status. I want to check it. MASA

heyas; thanks for the reply, masa. the model is built from one half that was mirrored and welded to it, i don't know how to get it more symmetrical than that. :) although it was sub-divided afterwards. that may mess it up. i will see about sending you a sample.
