Probably need uvmapper. I have a silly tut up that might help. Its very basic and doesn't cover issues of setting bones and whatnot, just how to make your box and uvmap it. I probably need to expand that tut A LOT if there is any interest.brandonc posted Thu, 26 June 2003 at 10:50 PM

I've been modelling for awhile, and the UVMap stuff still stumps me. Create the map, check, color it in, check, but use it? have it show up? x..;) I'm using Wings 3d (free, and it actually makes props in .obj and .3ds), but that's a whole 'nother forum..;) I'll have to check your tut out..

pakled, uv mapping is like anything else. It takes a while to get the hang of it. But it's definitely worth it once you do. Years ago, I used to just box-map everything, then I started asking questions, reading tutes and being a bit more adventurous. Next thing... hey presto, I was doing all the things I'd heard about. I can't remember if steve has any tutes on his new forum, but you can ask any uv mapping question there and get an answer from the man himself. macEricofSD posted Fri, 27 June 2003 at 10:17 PM
I save the bitmap that's colored in and then in the material room or render options (depending on your version) I go find that bitmap and apply it. Works fine for Poser and Bryce. Its not embedded in the obj, its just a separate bitmap or jpg that is manually attached in the destination program.
