Since there are several .phi file editing programs available, it would be helpful to know which one you're talking about here.

Creating a posable figure with a phi file This should give you a general idea of how a phi file works.. and how to set it up.. also study the hierarchy of a figure in Poser under the top menu Window/Hierarchy Editor. I learned by trial and error and am still learning but this should help a bit :) Storm

Which one would I recommend? Well, I guess that would have to be the one I wrote, PhiFactory. ;-) You can download it from my site at: http://bushi3d.com You'll also find several tutorials on figure creation including making .phi files.
