When I initially got Poser5 I upgraded it to the current patch release (Program and figures) and did some work with the walk designer. I remember it worked fine. It even smoothed out problems with applying walks to V3. At some point it stopped working properly. Now when I put a figure in and apply a walk to it the figure seems to disappear. No matter what figure I use. Uppon further investigation I began to see what was happening. I started out a new scene with the Don figure. I opened up the walk designer and hit the apply button with the following checked ("Walk in place", and "Transition from Pose at Path Start") When I applied it his feet disappeared. When I advanced to the next frame his whole body disappeared. So I examined the XYZ coordinates for the feet and they appeared as 17204200. When I click on them to change them "-1.#IND00" appears as the value and cannot be changed. So I think what has happened is that Walk Designer has somehow gotten messed up and is putting in bad data for XYZ coordinates of the feet and hip. Does anyone know how this can be fixed and why it happenes? I have looked around and not seen any other configuration files for Walk designer. I sent a message to CL tech support but have not gotten a response yet. Thanks in advance for any helpful insight.

I found the answer. CL tech support got back to me with this fix and it works. This is an issue that seems to appear when updating to SR3 while operating with multiple runtime directories. The solution would be to delete the "WalkDesigner" (found in Pose dir) directory from any runtimes other than the main Poser runtime. Also, search your Poser directory for any " *.pwd " files and delete any you find. These are walk designer cache files which can occasionally become corrupted. A new one will be created the next time you run the walk designer.

I had the same problem, but was able to fix it by loading the exact .cr2 of the figure I was creating a walk for. As soon as I did that, the walk designer started working again, except for when I change the path, and reapply, the figure still follows the same path as the first one I assigned. It will change the style of the walk and reapply, provided it has at least as many frames as the first one. Do you have this other issue as well, or does the fix CL reported work on this also?
