This was suggested by Maclean a few days ago. If your camera has drifted way out of range, or you suspect an object is somewhere in the scene but not findable, you can just click on this ZoomToExtent script. The currently selected camera will zoom out or in, and slide left or right, until its view field includes all the "solid" objects in the scene. (By "solid" I exclude GROUND, lights, cameras, etc.) This is a first draft; it works only on Main and Aux cameras, and works fairly well but not perfectly. See the readme for more detail.

Yes, it does work in P5 / SR3, which seems to be the "killing ground" for Python scripts. Just tried it. I'm hoping that somebody who has a "feel" for cameras will put this through its paces and suggest improvements.

Thanks Ockham! I use your scripts regularly. I will give this a try and send feedback. Is it possible to make a script to delete selected textures from the list? I often have dozens of textures that I have decided to not use, but still have to scroll through them. Any tool to help manage the textures would be a big help.

Ockham, I must start by saying that I haven't yet tried your script, but I have read the readme :o) Assuming this script doesn't allready do so: Is it possible to make a "zoom to..." or "find..." script? As when you've loaded something apparently offscreen and then have the camera zoom to the selected object?
