I have poser 5 with SP3 and have just notised some strange problems. I just become a poserstyle member, Love theyr content but I have problems with camera mat poses, they are singele use only. Select untextured cloting, aply pose, and the texture is loaded, did a render but wanted to change texture. Selected cloting and new mat pose, the texture changed in pose view. Rendered and the old texture vas showed on the render. Entered the matrial room, and then I selected a matrial group on the cloting the texture jumped back to the old one. Any explanations and workarounds? I have som caracters/ props who magnets dont work on, magnets work great most time, but for these items magnet dont deform, did a workaround with the group editor, created a new prop, used the same magnet on it, exported obj and imported morph target. I haven't had the problem you discribed exactly. What happens to me with Camera MAT poses is this. They usually apply the first time. But as soon as I render, if I try to apply any more Camera MAts, they won't work any more. Since I'm using Poser 5 (as are you), I just move the MATs to the pose library and change the extention of the cm2s to pz2s. I think I have the extentions right. (If you want to do this, just look at what the other ones are called in your pose library to confirm.) Once I put them in the pose library and change the extention, they work fine every time I apply them. Kevin

Thank you, it just to move and rename? :o) Then I got one idea, can I rename to .cr2 (character's) and place them togeter with the figure. That is something I would like in poser 5 with subfolders. If you could plaze caracters, assosiated props and mat poses togeter in one folder. Maybe an idea for Curious Lab? Magne

I'm not sure about putting them with the cr2. It might work. I just move the MATs to the pose file and then change the extention to match what's in the pose file. It should be pz2. These files really belong in the Pose file, but since many people use Poser 4 and Pose 4 has a limit on folders and how many folders can reside in other folders, people resorted to storing them in the Camera folder which was used as heavily. Now that Poser 5 doesn't have the same restrictions, you can safely put them in the pose directory. Just move them and change the extention. Nothing else is needed. Of course your camera files should stay in the camera folder. Kevin

Have a try of these P5 node clearers before applying a new .cm2 file. Hope it helps.magne posted Tue, 08 July 2003 at 11:11 PM
Thanks To move and rename the mat poses to pz2 solved the problem, but the node cleaners might get rid of the extra p5 texture settings, before applying new mat files. Magne.
