Heylo all. As some of you know, Jerry Uelsmann (and to a lesser/greater extent, J K Potter) and his style of work has always intrigued me. Multiple enlarger printing I experimented with several years ago, only to stop simply because I stopped shooting. Well, I'm getting back into photo once again, and will also be shooting black & white while printing in a primarily darkroom environment. I'm currently hunting through Amazon.ca in the hopes of finding a book on creative darkroom processes, though I'm not too interested in toning. I've experimented with multiple enlargers, sabatier/solarization (with negatives, not paper), bas-relief, and even (if some of you, JOVAN, can remember) Ryanization. I really want to further what little knowledge I have on the matters. Uelsmann's Process and Perceptions book, while interesting to read, doesn't really teach as opposed to haphhazardly showing how he did 2 images (neither of which he was too happy with, which I found kinda lame). While I know there likely isn't too much out there that covers all thos things (least of all Ryanization, as I have yet to submit that technique to the publishing masters that be, mwahahahaha!!!!), a guide to experimental darkroom processing/printing is heavily sought after. I'd rather not have to buy a book on each topic, though I know if I want to learn about hand colouring, for instance, I would likely have to purchase a standalone book. If anyone has any recommendations (and even better, direct url links) to things like this, please post'em. Also, I'm not too interested in books that showcase an artists work, like Process and Perceptions, but I guess some stuff like Ansel Adams used to publish. anyways, any help whatsoever is appreciated. thanks.
