I was reading in the manual on the DTE and found explainations and images of all the diiferent kinds of noise and how to adjust them in the noise editor...for those who are not familiar with it here's how you get there, on the noise palette and phase palette (two small rectangles) there is a left corner button, click that and it brings up the editor for either noise or phase...clicking on the type or mode will give you a pop menu of the various types and modes...:)

Aye, there are all kinds of cool places to click in the DTE! Although I've posted it before, methinks it won't hurt to do it again considering the subject of this month's contest...! (AgentSmith or clay can feel free to shut me up anytime!) (laughs at self) This contest is gonna be a blast, and spark all kinds of new stuff for us to work with...! (bows to Zhann)

WOW! I must confess Zhann that at first I absolutely hated this challenge because I was too tired to even think about going into the DTE...completely unknown territory to me other than dabbling. But, I now relent...great idea for the challenge, really...fantastic!!!!!! And this bit here...woohoo!!!!

I too was discouraged, but after doing a tut on the DTE i understand enough to attempt the challenge. I won't win...ever...but i'll try anyways.

Whooa Shadowdragonlord! A much more comprehensive look at the DTE, and I like the material in the combination channel too!...great learning tool. Maybe I should have called the challenge 'Demystifying the DTE' or 'DTE for Fun and Profit',or 'The Renderosity Guide to the DTE'...;

Aye, Zhann, on your Main Mat page, or whatever, you will see this same material on a sphere, it's a pretty cool one... (shrugs)
