Yup, you read correctly. A plain ol' onion. Not the poncey red variety, I want a common or garden onion. Yes, I know I could hack one together from a couple of primitives, but to tell you the truth, I would rather find a pre made one. Whole or cut, either would be appreciated. In fact, both would be very useful for what I have in mind. Of course, if this thread becomes a wasteland in (checks watch) say, 5 minutes, I'll be making my own. So pretty please, help a guy out here. Your reward? I'll thank the creator and the finder in my next pic. Now there's an offer you can't refuse - a credit in one of Sam's horrible pictures. And for those of you who don't know my "work", you probably made the right decision by staying away. :) TIA.

I can imagine it now... The DAZ Millennium Onion. With 200 injection morphs, 3 hi res texture maps and a whole set of accessories (knife, cheese, tomato and chopping board). And Karantia will do a new set of textures, Schlabber will make some "V3 with onion" poses, and Ilona will do a fantasy body paint version. :)

Don't thank me 'till you've got it L But soon now, only 2 hours left and I can go HOME from work and finish the onion. So within 4-5 hours (i need to get from work to my home too ;o) ) the onion should be available. Right now the onionrings and the half onion is ONE obj. Would you prefer it separate? Oh and I got an idea, so I MAY remodel the onion but hopefully it won't take long. Just be a little improvement L At first I just aimed to do a really quick onion for you when I read the post, but otoh... If I'm to make an onion, I might as well do a GOOD one. Stay tuned ;o)

What we really need is to get ernyoka1 to do a tutorial on how she creates these little models so darn fast. Great job! I'm glad we have equal time for vegetables. It's a nice change from Vicky-Vicky-Vicky.
TrekkieGrrrl posted Tue, 15 July 2003 at 12:55 PM
Er... but... I can't make a tutorial about that... Then everybody will do it too.. .and I will be forgotten WAAAAH No seriously, it's more like when something like this pops up and I can picture in my head HOW to do it, THEN I'm fast. If I can't picture it inside my head, the steps I mean, then it is almost impossible for me to do it. Things like the pills.. Well it's just 2 Max capsules, each booleaned in half (I know I know, boolenas are BAD... but I love'm, they're EASY) then one of them scaled slightly bigger and then they're put together. Likewise, the tablet: A beveled, vvery low, cylinder and a beveled rectangle. The beveled rectangle then used to boolean the ridge in the cylinger, this way making the groove in the tablet. Easy as that... Took about 15 minutes all in all... But leave me with only LightWave... Though I am growing continually fonder of that program, I still rely on my old trusty MAX when I need things done in a hurry :o) OTOH I couldn't have made the little clothes I've done in MAX.. That's where LightWave has it's force.
