Hi there, When you save the parented prop you will be prompted to save it as a smart prop. Save it as a smart prop and the parenting information is saved with the prop. Cheers, Joe www.3-AXIS.com

Yes, if you have parented the prop you will get a prompt upon saving to the library to save it as a smart prop. Selecting this option will ensure that when you reload it, it will be parented as before.

A rider to this is that if you save a group of props by using the "Select Subset" option they unfortunately loose their smartness and become dumb. Its a feature of Poser. The only work around is to edit the smartness back in manually in a text editor.

To follow on from PhilC's post, the diffrence between a parented item and smart prop is just one word, "smartparent" as oposed to "parent". You can parent a number of items (say to the head of a figure), save them to a compound pp2, then just open the pp2 in a text editor and replace each instance of the word "parent" with "smartparent".
