I have tried just about everything to try and figure out how to mask but I just can't seem to get it. Can someone tell me how to mask cause I have spent countless hours trying to figure it out and I just have not been able to all I can get is a red screen over the picture. If someone has a picture tutorial it would help me greatly thanks Scott

Make a selection of desired shape in the file where u want to mask. now copy the image which u want 2 mask, go to previous image (where the selection is) & shift+ctrl+V ("paste into"- is in edit menu)

Hey Scott,
use the gradient tool or lower the opacity of your brush and paint around the edges...

look at this post to see what i mean...

in the toolbox there are two buttons side by side on the 3rd set of buttons from down up it says edit in quick mask or standard. I only use the quick mask for subtle approaches of masking (feathered) it can be applied with a brush for the quickmask (when the work area bcomes red) in standard you have to use the marquee buttons. (that's what I use...sounds awfully hard..it works for me,anyway)
