hello all, is there an esier way to place objects in an scene. i am having a hard time with the wire frame views, and the open gl with the smooth shading on slows my system down big time. i am trying to place trees and other vegetation on the sides of mountains, on the ledges and it is kind of hard to discern the surfaces. just checking if there is a better way then just guess work. thanks for any assistance. eb

The drop function... bottom of left toolbar. Place your tree above the terrain and the press the drop. Maybe slight adjustment if very steep. For best results do all you trees with above view for placement. Then lift them all up. Next select one at a time and drop each (Shift D).

And clip your terrain. This makes it much easier to see the borders. Guitta [![guittalogo.GIF](http://www.guitta.net/icones/guittalogo.GIF)](http://www.guitta.net/) tutorials for beginners
