When I apply the textures to the model (using the excellent UV mapper of Mr Cox)in a RDS scene, and some parts of the body are made blend with a trans map, (for clothes) the light and shadows of the real object remain :it is not really transparancy as in Poser or Bryce . Can you give me a better way to work ? P.s I will not disable "cast shadow" in the light properties !

You might try checking/unchecking the radio button for "light through transparency" & see what that does. Havn't tried this myself.
