Well, I mean, except for the platinum club, which they seem to be going great guns on...which is nice to see. But I haven't seen anything in the premiere area since Mimic 2.0. I wonder what they could possibly be doing? ;)

dialyn posted Sat, 19 July 2003 at 11:33 AM

There are some new things in the premiere area now. Hair and Koshini, a robot, V3 male clothing, and a lovely dove/pigeon. Those have come out in the last week or so. I'm sure they are working on other things. Mike 3 is in the works, as is a Milleneum cat. Just a matter of what you're looking for.

Don posted Sat, 19 July 2003 at 11:57 AM

There have also been some new things put in the Special Interest store. Take a look.

sbertram posted Sat, 19 July 2003 at 12:09 PM

Yeah, but all those things are brokered

Don posted Sat, 19 July 2003 at 12:29 PM

So? New is new. And it's nice stuff. I assume M3 is taking some focus of effort.

Considering that they're working on Michael 3 and DAZ Studio, it should be unsuprising if the non-brokered releases are currently not being released en masse. As others have said, there have been some very fine brokered releases in recent weeks.

Well, my response is, "And?" What is the point of this message? You are not forced to make purchases at Daz on a regular basis. That is an optional expense. Try looking around the community at other sites. There are people making and selling things just as good as most things at Daz, and, many by those who are brokering at Daz.

Gawd people.. Can't you see the ;) at the end?! I am not Sbertram but I am pretty sure it was meant as a "are you busy with DAZ|Studio then? Nudge-nudge" Please don't turn this into a supposed Daz bashing. I am sure it wasn't meant that way.

I happen to know, but I can't say anything other than keep watching!

Don posted Sat, 19 July 2003 at 2:19 PM

Burton, you are such a tease!!

RHaseltine posted Sat, 19 July 2003 at 2:25 PM

This week's freebie was an original, I think. I trust it's M3 keeping the modellers busy - would you want a mesh-jockey working on your applications?

maclean posted Sat, 19 July 2003 at 2:48 PM

I want more vicki 3 stuff! I want less vicki 3 stuff! Where's Mike 3? What happened to DAZ|Studio? I bet it's too buggy? What about more platinum club items? Why can't I spend my money quicker? Hmmm..... mac

Re- DAZ Ive been too busy the past weeks (on hols) and missed the last two freebies. What were they? Have I missed any exciting non-V3 related free thingie?

Poppi posted Sat, 19 July 2003 at 5:56 PM

looks pretty darned suspicious to me.....hummmm, could perhaps, we be seeing at least m3 soon? and the new FREE first installment of daz studio? geeze, i need a better computer

sbertram posted Sat, 19 July 2003 at 8:52 PM

Wow, thank you TrekkieGrrrl for pointing out the obvious. Geeez...I was just making a friendly observation, and trying to point out that I hoped Daz was working on something good...and people get all bent out of shape. The new brokered stuff at Daz has been great, and I'm not trying to bash. I was just kind of hoping this would get people talking about the possible release of something new, like M3 or Daz Studio. sigh I guess I was half-way successful. I can't wait to see what Daz DOES eventually come up with.

sandoppe posted Sat, 19 July 2003 at 11:04 PM

I'm with Dave-So! Between DAZ and RDNA and Poser Pros and Poser Works and Sixus and all the great vendors here at Rendo.......hell I could have bought a new car and a Harley!! And now Sharen Custer is working on a great looking Haunted House!! Gawd.....I'm doomed!!!!

elgyfu posted Sun, 20 July 2003 at 7:18 AM

They are keeping the non-brokered stuff for when we get out $30 renewal vouchers!

xoconostle posted Sun, 20 July 2003 at 12:51 PM

There was only one response that came anywhere near a "bent out of shape" sort of attitude. You did name DAZ, but you didn't specify non-brokered items in your first post. Define "obvious." Just kidding. :-)

Mesh_Magick posted Mon, 21 July 2003 at 12:24 AM

I think Daz is the name of a new businiess I suspect was created from content that Zygote I suspect sold to someone in the poser community, someone with access to lots of money. I suspect that is why Daz has very little poser content of thier own and i SUSPECT Daz has brokers doing all the work even on mike and vicky who I suspect are sworn to silence when working on Daz projects. This is what I think, Yeah Daz has some great products of thier owen even though they are few, Which makes me wonder how many people they have modeling for them other then brokers.

RHaseltine posted Mon, 21 July 2003 at 6:28 AM

DAZ was separated from Zygote to handle Poser content, leaving Zygote the other 3d apps which are a different market. As far as I know Dan Farr at least was part of Zygote. Daz have always carried more brokered than own-brand items, but I've no idea what gives you the idea they don't produce their own stuff in house. The volume of both brokered and in-house, ignoring PC, seems about steady over the years.

Maybe they're taking a summer vacation.
