Which is what is transparent? white or black?

Thanks, Storm. I had to play with that myself to figure it out, because there is NOWHERE in the entire "Useless Manual" that tells you this. I searched the entire book and it completely fails in this area (well, in most areas, actually). It very briefly defines what a transparency map is and how to apply it, but it doesn't explain the components of it or how it works. Thank goodness for experts like you, who can give the right information. Melanie

The manual DOES tell you that, but the way it's written, it doesn't make sense unless you already know... Kind of like, oh, 60% of the book... :-) (Frequently I've gone through the manual, and said: "So THAT'S why [such and such] works. I should read this more often" then put it back in storage again...).
