Know what you mean, having a that feeling too for the second time this year. The only thing that helps me to get rid of that 'block' is going outside, without camera or anything else. No screen-staring for at least a week. Just looking at things, people, the sky, whatever gives me new energy. And when I've seen enough the ideas start coming. :) Especially with my design work I just need to get away from the screen as much as possible, cause it really does make your brain become incredibly passive. Doodling on paper and working out designs on paper alone is the only solution.

This one is, perhaps, the first photo I saw of you. Have a look at this link and, please, take your camera, your new macro, go out and take photos.Misha883 posted Mon, 21 July 2003 at 8:29 PM
Hugs, 'chelle. Very nice textures and tones on these. What if the laces were untied, and sort of drooping down? I'm sort of restless also. Got three rolls back from Jiffy-Mart, and nothing too inspiring. All the Big Folk at work are at a meeting in Malasia this week, so I maybe will sneak away. County Fairs are starting.

It must be in the stars. I have been fighting through too. I blame mine for rejoining the rat race. Maybe some of us can get together in NY or somewhere central and comiserate. Magick Michael PS I will be in Arizona next month for 12 days of someone out there wants to meet up.

Oh dear Chelle, most of us know what you mean and feel the same sometimes. Each one has his own way to work it out, so I can't give you any hints. The only thing I can tell, is not to push youself too hard to post one by one. You're truly the bestest photographer here in the gallery and you mustn't proof it all the time. Sorry for my bad English, I hope you'll get me well. It's hard to explain what I mean. BTW your shot of the ballet shoes is a winner again! Just relaxe and have a good time with or without your cam, Dear! Hugz, Monika

Yea, I just pulled through my bleeehs. I hit it right after the Summer Solstice Parade I shot. Had a lot to do with having to scan in all those frames, but also work and what-not. Took 4 days vacation this week and, because we work 4 10's, that translates into 10 days off. I feel pretty good now. Getting to play with that digital camera for the last 3 days has really helped. Not having to worry about the expense of film and developing has made my shooting very free. In the long run though, we all need to get away, even from things we love to do, and recharge. Do it before it becomes something you hate. As for the ballet shoes, hmmm. I think you're right. but I don't think it's the laces in and of themselves that's distracting as much as it's that the laces go out of the frame. I think it pulls the eye right with it. -=>Donald

Now, really - what's with you, guys? Get your butts up and go shooting or I'll come over and kick some inspiration in! :O As for the shot - it's perfect the way it is - can't you see the left shoe laces are exactly the same? Cut by the right shoe just like it's cut by the frame? Thats the beauty of it - symmetry. Not distracting at all. hug, Michelle

Oh hugz to everyone.... I really love you guys.... still feeling really shitty about myself, but I feel the love and that helps. :~) This weekend I am going to a hot air ballon festival, must go stock up on film. This will be my first time going to one of these.....and it's just down the road from home. I think this may help kick this crappy feeling away..... @Donald, yes I think you're right....it's leading out of the frame, and that is what is bothering me about them...I just couldn't articulate it.I am, therefore I create.......

Hold on one minute!!! There was love feeling going on and I wasn't invited? What's up with that? Did Cyn and Star know about it? Who was there? I've always wanted to go to one of the mass hot air balloon launches they have here. Problem is I can't drag my carcass out of bed early enough to see it. :) -=>Donald
