Does anyone know if there's some reason why animals (a horse in this case) won't follow a walk path? Maybe I'm doing it wrong (wouldn't be the 1st time:)

No, you're not doing anything wrong. Walk Designer doesn't include walk cycles for any of the animals. They can be added by inserting a 30-frame looping animation of the animal walking into the Walk Designer pose folder, but they can be fiddly to work with. I've managed to create a walk cycle for the cat (which is available from my Freestuff, with instructions on using it), and it's been done for the wolf (was that Little_Dragon did that?). I've tried to get the horse to walk but it's hooves go all over the place- I haven't managed to fix that yet.

Soory, "its hooves", not "it's' hooves". I start foaming at the mouth at the wrong use of the apostrophe, and then I go and misuse it myself, I don't know... :^p

Thanks for the tip! I'll try it. Strange that the Poser guys evidently thought we'd never want the animals to go anywhere.

I managed to make the horse work also, as you can see above.
Unfortunately, Walk Designer can become very quirky when you add your own files; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Thanks. It looks great Little_Dragon. But when I load the horse cr2 in the walk designer, it shows up with it's "arms" crisscrossed. Naturally, when I apply the slider with the new walk that I installed in the walk designer folder (trot, let's say) it looks like a mental patient trying to escape from a straight jacket. What's up with that?

Disable IK on the horse's legs (Figure menu --> Use Inverse Kinematics), and try again. As I said, Walk Designer can be somewhat unpredictable with custom files. Sometimes I have to shut Poser down, then start a new session before the figure will load into Walk Designer properly. Usually, if it doesn't look right in the Walk Designer's preview window, the walk won't apply properly either, but that isn't always the case.

I'll be damned! It works. I ended up trying what you suggested about the ik, with a added twist. After bringing up the walk designer box and applying and clicking done, I restored the figure, then reapplied the pose from the library w/O going back into the Designer itself afterwards, and it works. Of course, now I have to come up with better poses, but at least it does it now. Thanks again.
