It's done and DONE :) Ladies and gentlemen, please visit the newly-established community of Renderosity superstars by pointing you irc client to the irc.esper.net server and the room #rendergods. Go to the website for newbie how-to's and other information. This is it, I plan on advertising this as much as possible over the coming days on other forums as well, but the main concentration will be on Bryce :) Give us a visit and STAY. mIRC takes 1% of system memory or so to run, and nothing stopping you from simply idleing in the channel. Drac PS: I would deeply appreciate it if a certain forum moderator would add the url to our website in the forum header. *slips AS 5 bucks* :)

Max; There's a program called trillian, it's supposed to be really good and works with a lot of chatting 'things' like MSN and I think it also supports IRC.

Is there a freeware mirc out there somewhere that someone would recommend? I'd be interested in participating, but don't know that I'd want to spend the $20+ for registration (have to convert to Canadian funds, so it's a bit more than 20).

Swade posted Tue, 22 July 2003 at 4:45 PM

You should be able to use mIRC without registering it.... it will just be shareware... I think, unless that has changed. I'll check it out Drac.... nice work getting this going by the way. 8) ~ Swade ~

Just a note, On my machine, when I clicked on the fast download icon for this program, Spybot blocked a spyware file called "Avenue A, Inc".

Spyware is icky. Didn't know about it. Thanx for mentioning it TMG.
