I'm almost positive this is the camera the wonderful Colleen suggested to me. She has super things to say about it. I just think it's a sexy beast & also keep scrolling up to look at it...we are a sick bunch! Can't wait to see some work...let us know how she handles~

You're going to love it. I got one a few months back, and now I wouldn't give it up for all the tea in China. -- Mark

One warning.. don't use the on camera flash with a wide angle lens.. you will get light vinyetting occuring. I have 2 10D's and discovered the problem doing some tests 2 months ago using my 17-35 f2.8. Also it is not compatable with my 540EZ's or my 480EG. I had to purchase a new 420 EX Flash for it. Oh.. you might also concider getting (if you have not allready) the BG-ED3 Battery Grip. They hold 2 batterys (for longer shooting times in the field), and the virtical grip shutter is invaluable for quick compositions in the field. For my system I have the grip for both bodies, and carry 6 batterys. This way when I am on a shoot, I always have back up bodies, and batteries.

Oh the agony! Still haven't gotten to go shoot with it yet (besides some snaps around the house while reading the manual). Ended up having to do a bunch of stuff yesterday and today. But worry not, it's heading out the door with me tomorrow. I'll be shooting the 2003 EthnicFest tomorrow afternoon/evening. Baptisim by fire. :) Should be cool. Sashe - Yea, kind of a bummer about the flashes (that's why I have to buy a new one). 10D supports E-TTL only. So, for right now, if you want automatic flash exposure control you're stuck with Canon 200EX / 380EX / 420EX / 550EX Speedlites, Canon MR-14EX macro ring light, Metz 54-MZ3 (with SCA 3102 module) or Sigma EF-500 DG Super. Would love to get the 550EX or Metz 54-MZ3 right now, but I don't have $300-400 for the flash. Probably going with 420EX or Sigma EF-500 DG. Still deciding. I'm definetly grabbing the battery grip; just makes the camera feel perfect to me. -=>Donald
