Can you tell us exactly what the message says? And what file it is - Character, Pose, Prop? It could be one of several errors. mac

**Well, it's a clothing texture, whatever category that falls under and when I double click on it to load it, it says its not a valid poser file. The texture is from the "Active Wear denim days" by daz.

Very likey it is a mac made poser file it has some addtional info at the top and bottom of the file that need removed first, it is a pain to do but can be done. Or better still download the pc version of the item. Most folks thata offer free stuf normall include wheter it is a mac or pc version.

If you look at the file in a text editor, like notepad, you should see something like the lines below. It may be quite long, depending on how many materials are in it, but the important parts are the beginning and end. They should look like the one below. If there are extra braces - { - or lines missing, you can correct it. Resave it under a new name and try it first though.
begins like this
{
version
{
number 4.01
}
figure
{
material inset
{
KdColor 1 1 1 1
KaColor 0 0 0 1
continues with more lines and materials
ends like this....
ReflectionColor 1 1 1 1
reflectionStrength 1
}
}
}

Hae, In your other post, you had error messages about newer version files. The code above says this
{
version
{
number 4.01
}
Your files will say 'version 4.2'. Change that line to 'version 4.01' and they'll work fine.
