I am just starting out with imaging and what not, and i was woundering what progrmas of choice to all of you, more experenced, people use, i use ultra fractal and photoshop mainly...and hope to know what else to use...i have some new fractals up on my gallary, stop by, and give me a few good words, i guess....

I have a wide selection of fractal programs. My personal favorites are Vchira, Flarium24, Tiera-Zon, Fractal Explorer, Fractal Vizion,Raimuraito, Inkblot, Dust Fractals, Graf-Z-Vizion and Apophysis. All of these are free programs. It's mainly up to the person; whatever feels right and works for you. Most of the people here use Ultra Fractal and Xenodream ( they aren't free!) Try Paul N. Lee's site, there are a lot of programs there.

Advice I was given by one of the masters... is to use one till you are starting to just repeat what you do, then switch to another, and keep doing this till you come back to the first one again, and will then be able to use it with a new perspective.

I use Apophysis,Fractal Explorer and sometimes Ultrafractal,but there are many more fractal apps. What program to use is up to you,give some of them a try and look wich one gives you a good feeling and a result you like. Check out the fractal gallery also to see what you can do with the different fractal applications. That should give you a good idea what program to use according to what you want. Good luck.

lol ... ya all are very fortenate with using a windooooz poooter (i will not state here what i think of those poooters, for then the discussion of that will be very long) and the available programs there are written for it ... macusers like me are limited in our choice of the wide variety of programs, so we have to do some tricks to produce a fractal :-) and level to your skills Harmen
