Is Pboost usable with Poser 5? Thanks!

Not yet. Howard is working on an update that will allow it to do so, but at the moment, PBooost is for P4.

PBooost V1.4 is almost ready according to an email I had recently from Howard/Hogwarden. V1.4 will be fully compatible with Poser5 enhanced features like compressed files, multiple runtimes, nested folders. The DFE (Deep File Editor) will be able to correct not just texture references but also the obj references. I've had PBooost for nearly a year & the only time I've had trouble with it was caused by me not reading the manual. There's a lot more under the hood but if I go on I'll start sounding like an ad for PBooost, it's safe to say I'm a very happy customer.

Er... I have used PBooost with P5... Didn't know it wasn't supposed to work L It works fine and actually better than in P4. In P4 you have to click #Switch Banks, then switch the banks in PBooost and then click #switch Banks again to make the new bank appear. The last #Switch Bank click is not needed in P5. But then I'm using my P4 Runtime in P5. That may be why it works? Haven't used it on the P5 Runtime.

With V1.3 PBooost doesn't see the Poser5 stuff because it's compressed, anything not compressed like in the poser4 runtime will be perfectly visible & usable :) With poser5 I usually click till I'm at the point where you add new runtimes then switch banks then click back in, not sure if I really need to but it works for me :)

Hi y'all! Yes, PBooost 1.3 is just compatible with Poser 4, but PBooost 1.4 is nearly ready... If you have 1.3 and wish to use it with Poser 5, or Pro Pack with compressed content, let me know your e-mail and I'll send you the update! Ernyoka1...you have the 1.4 update already! That's why it works with Poser 5! Phew... better get back to writing the instructions! LOL! Howard:))

Back again. Checked my Downloads. It's still listed as 1.3. Could it be becourse I had it as a gift? I seem to remember that you wrote your customers.. but I didn't buy it. HeavyRay did. And gifted me thru Rosity's gift system (before anyone expect anything warezlike G)

1.4 is in the testing phase, and is coming along nicely. Integration with P5 is near-seamless and very efficient, and you'll love some of the new features Howard has worked into the utility. Just one guy's opinion... ;-) CT

? Hmmm... OK... I did send some people out early fixes to hook 1.3 up to the Poser 5 runtime... but just a few. Maybe you got one of those. Anyway... a fresh 1.4 will wing it's way to you! H:))
