Subject: Compatability of V3 clothes for V2 (from BATLAB)

I am lusting after Batlab's PVC gear type B at http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=21231 but I only have Victoria 2. Does anyone have this and if so, could they please check it with V2 for me? I don't want to waste my money. When I say lusting, I am serious. I am in trouble... starting to actually spend MONEY instead of going for all the freestuff. This is bad news. My credit card company rang me last month to check it was really me buying stuff off the internet. $5 here, $2.50 there... and Visa actually cares. That's so sweet of them. Help!

I don't have the PVC gear, but here's an image of V2 wearing the BatBikiniSet-B. As you can see V3 clothes don't work very well just conformed. It is possible to get them to LOOK like they fit by choosing a limited camera angle and fiddling with scaling and positioning of a parented (rather than conformed) item, but it's a lot more work than using clothes designed to fit V1/2 in the first place. -- Mark

I used the pvc gear type b on vicki 2. I conformed the to her there were a couple of holes. They were easy to hide in post work. I didnt conform the top. I used the same pose used on vicki on the top then used the dials to put it into place. Hope that answers your question.

It's a shame he's just gone to Vicky 3 clothing now. I'll miss buying his items, he was really good.

Yes, his stuff is lovely and there's some gorgeous textures available for his clothes, too.

He's released a lot of these outfits for V2. Why don't you IM him and see if he did a V2 version, and if he'd throw it in with the V3 version. ~DM

yggdrasil, did you change the joint parameters? I've got a pose that does it, and Netherworks has one that just changes the centers (better for altering existing clothes)

Thanks, I'll give that a try when I get home FyreSpiryt, but it was really just a demo image for nontroppo. I have V3 so can use the clothes on her as they were designed to be used.
