Lovely shots. Especially the cockatoo, it can be really difficult to get any sort of feather detail on white birds. This one's just packed with detail. Well done Mark

Thank you Mark. I noticed in this upload that the tail area was far darker than I first thought. I have used some selective adjustment of levels there to lighten it a bit and show a bit more detail. The end result is in the gallery. One day I will get the hang of curves in Photoshop! :-)>Misha883 posted Wed, 06 August 2003 at 9:03 AM
Those blue dots are really cool! Could definitely start a trend. [I take it this camera has some combination of optical and digital zoom?]

Uh oh, I think Cam will need a baseball bat and a shotgun in a few years' time. ;-) (Lovely blue eyes! Reminds me of leighp's daughter, too. -- hmm where is Leigh?) I'm drooling over your new camera. Keep it away from me. Hehehe :-) (*

I like the image in the gallery, but I must say I prefer the color of the light in this image here. Looks like it was early morning....the golden hour? maybe? And I don't see the difference in the two between the dark under the tail area. Rebecca is adorable as always...love those blue spots!....and now I'm wishing I had extra cash laying around so I can upgrade my tired D7.....
I am, therefore I create.......

LOL Jovan, yes, I think I am in for my share of headaches when young Rebecca is a bit older!
Perhaps it's my monitor (re the darkness in the tail area) The time of day was in the late afternoon Michelle, with diffuse lighting from light cloud cover. The bird was actually partially in the shade of house, so it was mainly illuminated by ambient light from the sky. Michael, the camera has a 4x optical zoom, the tottal zoom factor can go up to 16x in combination with the 4x digital. I haven't used the digital zoom option yet. (I'm not a big believer in digital zoom)
