Neftis, Daniel mentioned to me yesterday that there was another hairstyle you were working on that might be perfect for a Barbarian type? Mind showing me that one (just link in IM if you don't want to show it here)

Firebirdz posted Wed, 06 August 2003 at 11:44 AM
Mike 3 looks like the V3 Male !!!!! But the hair looks wonderful! I can't decide ,. I might get all.
JoeyAristophanes posted Wed, 06 August 2003 at 12:10 PM
OK, not trying to pry too much information out, but is this a morph of the base M3? It doesn't look much like the other images we've seen, but then this is the first time we've seen him textured and reasonable up close. Great hair, as always, Neftis.
neftis posted Wed, 06 August 2003 at 12:17 PM
Yes it is the actual Mike 3...I only used the texture from the v3 male pack for the preview purpose only...(look a little better with textures) LOL By the way, if you think v3 had good joints! wait to see Mike 3!:) I liked to pose him. some more hair are on the way.But I can't post any previews yet.it is at an early stage...

is this transmapped hair or Poser5 hair? the Prince Charming looks like Poser 5 hair ... the rest look to be transmapped, which is why I ask :)

Man, I hear the cash register going chaching again. Neftis, this is wonderful. I just love your hair products and really look forward to this and all you have coming.

As far as I know (unless neftis proves me wrong) all of those hairstyles are modeled (not hair room) and compatible with Poser 4, as DAZ does not support Poser 5-only products.

Cha-ching!! Cha-ching!! I'm ringing my cc card purchases in advance. It's groaning already...LOL. Great hair neftis! You are the hair queen :o). Laurie

I hope that they move more independently...LOL. Not that I really do many nude pics, but it was always comical to me that his boys always moved along with his johnson...LOL. Forgive the language ;o). you used V3 male texture on M3 ? does that mean that the textures can be interchangeable ?
DraX posted Wed, 06 August 2003 at 1:15 PM
Laurie, Mike's package is made to pose rather well from what I'm told... unfortunately, we did not yet recieve it from DAZ
dirk5027 posted Wed, 06 August 2003 at 1:15 PM
You are the hair master, the yann hair is still my all time favorite, looking forward to all of these, will hair for mike 3 work on mike 2?
3ddave44 posted Wed, 06 August 2003 at 1:21 PM
The hairdos are nice and M3 looks very nice. Nice jaw shape. Neftis, for your consideration, on the Prince Charming hair, which looks quite nice, I wonder if the trans-layer at the top and outer portions of the model is necessary. Looking at the pic, if you imagine those stray strands gone, the hair still looks fine (better to me). As it is now, the top looks a little messy (and perhaps un-Princely ). The trans strands at the sides are better but, like the top, if you look at the pic and imagine them gone, it takes nothing away from the model. I'm sure, were I to buy the hair, that the layer could be trans out but I just thought I'd mention those observations.
neftis posted Wed, 06 August 2003 at 1:22 PM
Yes all the hair should fit all mikes in general....maybe a very little adjusting...but very minor... and with some more tweaking it will even fits vicky stef etc!;) It's not the first time I see Yann hair on victoria...so it's pretty much the same... although I have some more hairstyles for vicky coming up as well;)
neftis posted Wed, 06 August 2003 at 1:25 PM
3ddave44: all you have to do in poser is to go to the material menu------and remove the upper transmap picture...this way...you will have the hair without the second transmaping and voila!hehe

ARRRGGGGGRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I want it all! NOW! Beautiful hair. I've been wanting some new male hair, and this is superb. I love the Prince Charming hair. I've been wanting a good side part for Mike for some time.
3ddave44 posted Wed, 06 August 2003 at 1:46 PM
Hi Neftis, yes, I even mentioned that I could tran out the layer but I mentioned the layer only in case you wanted to entertain having a smaller file. I just didn't know if you knew the hair would look fine without it. : ) ----------------------------------------------- To the community (and not to Neftis directly): Sometimes/lately these hairdos with multiple outer trans-layers look a little too wily. Often the layers are too far apart from each other and too much flyaway hair is noticable - in any way that's realistic anyway. I've seen some Vicky's in hair that a real woman would be lamenting as a 'bad hair day'. I love the transmap layers but most times they need to be closer to the base and any other layers. : )

the eyes look like the same model as v3 eyes, but that does not necessarily mean its the same model.
I have done some cool stuff with Stephanie/Aiko (the male), turned her into a very realistic looking man... and you'd be hard pressed to think it was Mike at all, even though it IS the same mesh, pretty much.

M3 looks like a very large improvment over m2, who i rarely use bacause he looks too cartoony/characture..... Love the hair neftis, superb work!! and yes i agree, he does look like V3's twin brother.. nothing wrong with that!! hehe i wonder if he'll have M3 female morphs LOL -SimderZ- xXx

WOW! Wonderful as usual Neftis. One small tiny suggestion on the Mihai_hair. Blend the transition area a bit more. Better yet, could you make it an option and fill the bottom portion of the head with the hair from the top so he doesn't always have a buzz cut at the bottom. It'll be a computer hog for sure, but will make the hair cut even more versatile. I've loved all your hair styles. Thanks again for continuing to develop products for Michael. He desperately needs it.
Little_Dragon posted Wed, 06 August 2003 at 6:37 PM
Heh. DAZ actually has a Michael 3 section in the Platinum Club now. Empty for the moment, of course.

Give him pale blue eyes and a very pale complexion with slicked back black hair and he looks like that dude on the new Charlies angels movies.

Looking at #32, there's a vague resemblance to Patrick Swayze. And that works for me.
cwsatl429 posted Wed, 06 August 2003 at 9:57 PM
Since you used V3 Male textures on M3, does this mean they have the same UV Maps? I hope they do, because then it would be Very Cool! I could use my V3 Male and V3 Expansion Pack texture maps on him. It would be really great if V3 and M3 could share texture maps.
DraX posted Thu, 07 August 2003 at 5:43 AM
Actually, DAZ hadn't yet completed the UV coordinates in the version they sent us. neftis set it up in UVMapper Pro for preview purposes.
Dave posted Thu, 07 August 2003 at 7:39 AM
Neftis set up the uvs? Kewl. Be nice to get some uvs for the poor dude to do some proper product shots. Dave
DraX posted Thu, 07 August 2003 at 8:03 AM
I'm sure neftis will share if you ask nice, right neftis? :)
neftis posted Thu, 07 August 2003 at 9:25 AM
I can't really share anything concerning M3...I mean not the uvs directly...But I already emailed him what I did in uvmapper...it was prettymuch simple. I am sorry...I don't want to sound to mean or anything. It is just not allowed to share like this. I don't even know myself if M3 will be compatible with v3...i just hope so myself, like for the rest of you guys!:) No heart feelings!
TrekkieGrrrl posted Thu, 07 August 2003 at 3:55 PM
He does NOT! Duchowny looks SO CUTE (Excuse me while I drool) while M3 looks like V3's sister......

DraX posted Fri, 08 August 2003 at 6:04 AM
wolf, just so you know, I'm not sure how the hand morphs will work out, but I do know this... Mike3's hands scale VERY well I was able to scale them all up to 150% in one test and they still looked and worked fine.
wolf359 posted Fri, 08 August 2003 at 6:08 AM
DraX posted Fri, 08 August 2003 at 6:10 AM
Note, that's scaling the fingers and hands all up to 150% As would be expected with an area like that, scaling the fingers or hand separately won't work quite as well

Dave it looks very versatile :o) Is it on purpose that there is this dark shadow at the temples where the inner "scullcap" is on the render in white? It looks a little bit like he has SHAVED his temples high G And to my knowledge, most men would give quite a lot to avoid hightemples, they wouldn't exactely MAKE them appear higher :o)
