Has anyone tried using it to sync singing? How does it do?

Yes I try a time ago before Mimic2 was here.. I used Mimic 1 for this too.. Mimic2 is much better...you have to record the voice separate.. not put in the total song.. you will have much work to edit it.. I will tell you a tric.. put the record on and sing with the song.. record only your voice while singing.. make the mimic pz2 and when you rendering is finished with your voice mix the animation with the real music.. you have a music video editor to do this so you can mute your voice from the animation.. the final illusion is super.. try self!

hhahah nice done! my was to big to upload right now.. but my character sing for real a song not only talk.. I will find the little test to show you..

yup sing the song your self with head phones on so it doesnt pick up the music part use that wav for mimic then edit the rendered animation together with the real song in premiere or somthing

yes with head phones on.. great idea.. I found a small test animation I did for somebody music single.. old one done with mimic1 little stupid but you get the idea...... I go to upload and it is flash video stream so please open in your browser in place to save as...

P>S you don't have to sign too but make something as this: IIIIIII waaaaaaaaas for youuuu... but without melody..so something like a robot..but exact in the same time as the real song text.. you have to try couple of time.. it is if you do a cover song.. if you sign with your own voice you have to sing in real time.. try to say the words exact so mimic can analise good the words.. this will a little work for you...
