This is a particular of the most famous door of the baptistere. Yes, that's gold ;)

the problem with takin pics in Florene is exactly that.. there are Millions of tourists everywhere so the "heads" are like anatural part of the town... :)also in the next pics you will have sadly to miss some detailes due to people's presence :) But in another way, that's exactly the flavour of my town. You meet the world literally here :) and it's simply spectacular :)

Mel - I can't imagine how frustrating it is trying to shoot these beautiful pieces of architecture/artwork with the ever present "heads" moving by the lens. :) "Move!! Move!!!!! Movvvveeee!!!!!" Hehehehe. The architectural details that I'm seeing in your photos blows me away. Wow. -=>Donald

I will be happy to take detailes shots to show you in September Michelle :) Please (as I am sure I won't remember this by then when I am back from holidays... remind me of that.. and i will be happy to get in the plaza and take all detailes :) theya re so worthy :) and it takes me 15 minutes to be there from my house :) So n o big deal (plus I work... well very near to there :))
