Sanctum Art introduces a "Howler", Sci-Fi med-heavy armored all-terrain mecha weapon platform character. "Howler" is the first "Stand Alone" figure character from the "Dark Winter" series. The "Howler" mecha is a New Figure Model adapted to be used in the Poser. It is not designed to be posed with preset poses not made specifically for it. The limits on Parameter Dials on each of the body parts are good aids in posing the "Howler" figure. The container and container door parts are smart propped to the torso/corpus of "Howler". This Poser version of the product is in character/figure format (.CR2) has been tested with Poser 4 ProPack Version to ensure that it functions properly. It works with Poser 4, but you might encounter problems with missing thumbnails. For those who would like to modify exsisting textures "blank"(with no markings) texture maps are included. All you have to do is bring the "blank" texture map to any image editting applications and after customizing it, replace the original. To apply optional color sheme (blue/gray or green) textures to the "Howler" figure simply go to Poses/S.A.Howler and apply the Mat. files included. A Pentium III system with 512MB of RAM or higher would be the recommended hardware requirement for using this model. The complete model with all the extra parts is approximately 250,000 polygons. The "Howler" for Poser package includes: -1 "Howler" character (Obj.Cr2) -2 Smart Props "Container" and "Container Door". -2 Mat.poses. -2 Poses. -2 "Howler" texture Sets (Hi-Res. 3x4000) blue/gray and green. -1 "Container" texture set. -2 "Blank-Unmarked" texture sets -blue/gray and green. -4 UV.Templates (3 for "Howler",1 for "Container"). "Howler" Figure will be soon available at Renderosity's MarketPlace. Comments welcome (:D Thank you for your viewing! I think any anime mecha fan would be delighted to have one of these. Do the chaingun barrels revolve?

ChuckEvans posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 7:19 PM

Not sure I understand about the posing. I'm assuming movable parts...can you list them? I'd be interested since my wife is a fan of MechWarrior 3 and 4...depending on price of course...(grin).

Body Parts Screen

ChuckEvans posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 8:03 PM

So all that stuff is moveable? I can lift a leg and turn the torso (etc.)? Pardon if my question seems dumb. Well, I'm kinda dumb. BTW, it looks GREAT! The polys are worth it.

SanctumArt posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 8:07 PM

Yep...(:D,over 50 moveable body parts.

ChuckEvans posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 8:10 PM

Awesome! Working on a price yet?

SanctumArt posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 8:14 PM

Poser adapted model will cost 25$. Obj,3ds and Max will be available for 20$

ChuckEvans posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 8:16 PM

Well, that sounds fair. Count me in.

SanctumArt posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 8:16 PM

Updates and weapon/texture addons will be available for free.

Who fits in the "seats?" Can we have a fit pose for Mike and Vicki? This is one killer model. I like the fact you usually include worn textures with your models. Emily

SanctumArt posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 8:49 PM

That will be a separate file to download for free for all who will buy it. In the set beside poses for Howler will be included gunner and pilot poses for Victoria 2,3 Michael and poser 4 Figures.

Very cool, that's good news.

I never regretted getting your SA Multi, it is an excellent piece of SF 3d art, had to halve the size of the 4k texture maps to get it to render with all the accessories on my 512 meg system but it still looked great. Love using it. Probably will be getting this as well. Keep up the great work, do you mention your WIP anywhere?

fretshredder posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 11:10 PM

Man! you rock. This is a definite winner for sure. I have all your other figures thus far and they all are excellent. I have no doubt this one will be as well. One question: If we opt for the poser version is the 3DS available to us, or would we have to buy that in addition? Curious. Looks great! /gz
