Finally had time to play again. As usual, with me, everything was done in Poser 4 with no post touch-ups (cause I'm still not very good at that sort of thing)with props downloaded from the poser free stuff. All comments welcomes: good, bad, indiffent. Also need help coming up with a good title for the work. Credits: The background (sky) is Ashlocke's Water Prop with my trans maps and colored lights for effect. Gown and lace curtain tex by James Schoen. Terrain prop by ? Metalic reflec maps by Jeff Howarths. Roy Bellanger's white arabian horse tex. Koyoko's base from young Nene. Allerleiauh's transcurls. Everthing else stock poser or by me. If I missed anyone - thanks with my apology.) -Rob

oooooh! oh that's so cool! :) i love the dress looking all jewel-like. the unicorn looks more magical with the reflection map on, what a great idea. :) (it kinda starts looking a bit plasticky on the flanks, i think, but still cool.) the background is lovely. i just wish they had some grass to stand in, that would cover up the front of their feet/hooves a bit. nice job. :)

Thanks guys. Bloodsong - I will try adding some grass as you suggested. In addition, will try toning down the reflec map just a tad and see how it does. Also, the eye of the unicorn (seen in image posted here) does not show the same level of detail as the original due I suppose) to compressing the image for uploading. Will try correcting before posting to Gallery. Thanks again guys. -Rob

Wonderful Rob! I love the dress! So very few dresses in the fantasy line :) The expressions are very good also :) I agree with Bloodsong that they need some grass

WoW!! Not much more to add! Maybe a suggestion or two for Title: "Beauty & the ...", "... Out of Legends". Marc

Sorry that I have been slow replying, but have been tied up on other things. Pendarian - heeding the advice of both you and bloodsong I have added the grass. Now I know why folks like Bryce and Vue (and post touch-ups) when it comes to this kind of thing. It took some experimenting but I finally figured out a way to insert grass around the figures so that it looks right (at least to me). Szeven - the gown (and most everything else in this image) can be found in Poser free stuff - search for James's Galadrial" Dress. Marc - thanks, I knew someone would come through for me. I have never had a hard time titling a work before but I just could not come up with one I liked for this one. To be honest, at first, your suggestions did not grab me either. I looked at the image, typed the title(s)under it. Then it hit me (don't ask me how or why, but your suggestions definitely got the wheels churning)and I tried "Of Legends borne", then "Enchanted Beauty," and finally just shortened it to "Enchanted." So (even though it is not your original suggestions)you get credit for sparking the title. Thanks again. A couple more minor changes I want to try/make and then I will post the finished work to the Gallery. Again I appreciate all the helpful feedback and kind comments. Hope the final version meets with expectation. Rob

Rob, Can't wait to see it, I'm sure it will be wonderful!

ver2.jpg Anyone got an asprin? Talk about not leaving well enough alone. I tried this, I tried that. You know the routine. Anyhow, this is the version I am leaning toward at the moment. A bit of a departure from the original so let me know what you think. Rob P.S. Also did an earlier version closer to the original with grass that I kind of liked as well. Hence the headache. ver1.jpg

I know EXACTLY what you mean....if my opinion counts at all I'm thinking the one with the water...but then I love water, it tends to calm and add depth to a piece of work...but I like the pose better in the one without the water. so I would use the pose from the third one and keep the water. Almost there!!!!
